Tennessee is famous for its banana pudding and banana pudding pie. They hold an annual banana pudding festival each year.
In the National Banana Pudding Festival, there is a cook-off for the best banana pudding in America.
There is also a Puddin' Pat where you can sample banana pudding made by local nonprofit organizations.
The festival began as a way to earn money to help victims of disasters, fires, tornadoes, and floods.
Along with the delicious banana pudding, it's helping nonprofits earn much-needed funds for their causes as well.

RECIPE:
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup milk
1 package instant vanilla pudding mix
3 cups heavy cream
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 (12-oz.) box vanilla wafer cookies
4 bananas, sliced into coins
STEPS:
Whisk the instant custard with the milk and set aside for 5 minutes. Stir in the condensed milk.
In a large bowl combine the custard mixture, bananas, and the heavy cream. Spread a layer of vanilla wafers in a baking pan topping it with your custard. Repeat three times and finish off with the last layer consisting of cool whip. Chill for three hours.
