Day 118: Bubble Waffles

What's better than fluffy waffles? It's bubble waffles, and you all know how I feel about waffles. I LOVE them! The cute thing about bubble waffles is that they are shaped like little "bubbles" instead of indents like normal waffles.

There's only one catch...you need to buy a bubble waffle maker.

I used this one, it's easy to use and you can just plug it in wherever.

You can serve this with any filling, but the first time I ever tried a bubble waffle, I ate it with an Oreo filling.

The waffle itself is super rich, so the Oreo frosting is a simple whipped cream with crushed Oreo's.

If you don't have a bubble waffle maker, you can use an Appam pan or a stuffed pancake pan. Then cook it over the heat.

  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch

  • 1/4 teaspoons salt

  • 2 eggs (this is optional, you don't need it, worst-case scenario)

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted

STEPS:

  1. Combine all the ingredients, and heat your bubble waffle oven.

  2. Pour until 70% full, close lid, and flip immediately. Cook for 4 - 5 minutes, remove with a spatula and cook for 1 minute.
