Day 157: Chocolate Babka

Chocolate babka is so fluffy and delicious, It's definitely my favorite bread of all times!

Plus this recipe is super quick. Most babka recipes require proofing for 24 hours. the total amount of proofing in this recipe is only 2 hours. Chocolate babka are so much better than plain ones. It kind of tastes like dessert, in a way. Maybe it is one, who knows?

Every time I go to the grocery store I would always be on the lookout for a bag of chocolate babka. I thought it was impossible to make, the twists, the chocolate coming out. But now I realize that chocolate babka is simple.

The first step is to make the dough. Add a little bit more flour if needed, but don't use too much, or it will be dense.

Once you're ready to assemble, roll out your dough into a large (7″ x 12″) rectangle. Fill with you chocolate sauce, and roll into a long log. Cut lengthwise, and braid. Place onto a baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes.
