Day 92: Notebook Cake

Quick announcement: Black Lives Matter Seattle-King County is calling for a statewide day of action in support of all Black lives in Washington State on Friday, June 12th. I will be having a contactless bake sale for the residents in Seattle and all funds will go to charity. There will be cupcakes and cookies - all 2 dollars and nut free! Let me know if you are interested at boredombaking@gmail.com, I look forward to hear from you all! Nevertheless, as the last day of school let's take the final Class Notes for the year and celebrate it as a cake! Ah, that's the best kind of notes, cake notes.

You can write Class Notes if you want, but if you don't have a good piping hand (like me) it will be pretty annoying.

For fun try, funfetti or other crazy flavors. It'll be cool to have a surprise both on the outside, but also the inside!

Another idea: Make it a notebook cover, or a book!

Have fun taking the best kind of notes, cake style!!!

Level: 👩🏽‍🍳👩🏽‍🍳👩🏽‍🍳 (You'll need to know how to pipe words)!

Serves: 5-6

Time: 2 hours 10 minutes

RECIPE:

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 vanilla cake baked in a sheet pan

  • Vanilla Frosting

  • Food coloring - Blue/Pink

STEPS:

  1. Take your cooled vanilla cake and spread 3/4 of the frosting. In two small bowls, add a little food coloring to each.

  2. Pipe the blue lines across (1/2" apart) and a pink line going downwards on the left side of the cake. Think notebook paper.

Enjoy!

Thanks, for the note, or should I say, "cake note"?
