Day 114: Flag Pizza

This pizza is the perfect 4th of July dinner item! One, it's a flag (can you get more patriotic then that?) and two, it's DELICIOUS!

For the stars, you can use mozzarella pearls. Or I just put little splotches of ricotta!

If you don't want the whole "tomato" look, you can use mozzarella sticks as the stripes.

If you don't have blue potatoes, you can use carrots or any other blue vegetable.

And if you don't want a savory pizza, you can always try a fruit flag pizza. That's when you have a sugar cookie base and a cream cheese sauce. Topped with fruits!

Level 👩🏽‍🍳👩🏽‍🍳|Time: 45 minutes (not counting pizza dough)|Serves: 4|

RECIPE:

INGREDIENTS:

4 paper-thin slices of blue potato

3 tomatoes, sliced

Sauce of choice, enough to fill the pizza

Cheese of choice, enough to fill the pizza

STEPS:

  1. Shape your dough into a rectangle and preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.

  2. Place sauce and cheese and decorate the top right side with blue potatoes. Line rows of tomatoes and bake for 15- 20 minutes.

Enjoy!
