Week 45: Red Velvet Brownies

I can’t get enough of these delicious red velvet brownie bars. They are such a fun spin on a classic brownie, and I am 100% here for it!

The red velvet brownies are fudgy, rich, and the perfect recipe to make when you need a sweet treat. I honestly make these any opportunity I can get.

They are my new go-to bars to give to family and friends. Everyone always loves them!

If you want, you can replace the semi-sweet chocolate chips with white chocolate.

Additionally, if you want to be extra fancy, try adding cream cheese frosting to the brownies once they have cooled.

RECIPE:

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder

  • 3/4 cup butter, melted

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

  • 1-2 teaspoons red food coloring

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips, optional

STEPS:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and line an 8x8-inch baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients together. Don’t over-mix!

  3. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes

Enjoy!
