Day 357: Strawberry Bundt Cake

Spring is coming soon, and I knew I had to make this pretty strawberry bundt cake! Not only is it a one-bowl recipe, but it is also so incredibly delicious!

To make this recipe, you will need a bundt cake pan. The shape is up to you. I think the most important thing about this cake is to butter/flour your pan well.

If you don't butter and flour your pan well enough, the cake will have a hard time getting out, and you won't have good looking dessert.

My favorite thing about this bundt cake is that you only need one bowl. You don't need to cream your butter or sugar. Just mix everything together and bake!

This cake will be a favorite in no time! It's soft on the inside and filled with chopped strawberries!

RECIPE:

INGREDIENTS:

Cake:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour + 1 tablespoon extra for the bundt pan

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 4 eggs

  • 1 cup milk

  • 3/4 cup butter, melted

  • 1 cup strawberries, chopped into small pieces

Glaze:

  • 1/2 cup strawberries, pureed

  • 4 cups powdered sugar

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

STEPS:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F, and grease a bundt pan with butter. Dust the pan with a tablespoon of flour, make sure it covers the whole bundt tin. This will be the "parchment paper".

  2. In a large bowl, mix together all your cake ingredients. Pour it into the bundt cake pan, and bake for 50 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes then remove the cake from the pan and cool for another 20 minutes.

  3. In a large bowl mix the strawberries, powdered sugar, and lemon juice. Pour over your cake and cut a slice!

Enjoy!
