Day 91: Stuffed French Toast

This is an easy, delicious meal that you can make in 30 minutes! Cook or bake - but you all know which one I would choose. 😉 Ah, is it really possible to make the classic french toast better? All I can say is that you'll eat these stuffed french toasts all day!!!

This recipe can be cooked or baked, if you want to cook it - 15 minutes is all it should take.

The possibilities are endless to the fillings...chocolate chip, banana, nutella and so much more!

I like it best when it's cooled down. It's sooo hard to heat hot filling fresh from the oven.

You don't even need maple syrup, it's already inside!!! I like to dust mine off with powdered sugar though.

Level: 👩🏽‍🍳

Serves: 2

Time: 35 minutes

RECIPE:

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 oz cream cheese

  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 8 slices of white bread

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 tablespoons milk

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

STEPS:

  1. With a fork stir the cream cheese, maple syrup, and cinnamon until it's smooth and creamy. Cool for 10 minutes

  2. Meanwhile roll out your bread with a rolling pin. Separately, combine eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon together and set aside.

  3. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture onto the middle of one of the bread slices. Layer another slice and cut out with a pretty large cookie cutter. Crimp edges with a fork and dip into the egg mixture. Bake for 15 minutes at 400 degrees F.

  4. Cool for 10 minutes, it tastes best then.

Enjoy!
