Week 25: Banana Bread Pudding (United Kingdom)

This bread pudding tastes similar to figgy pudding and is the perfect dish for any breakfast or brunch.

Lately, my family and I have been having brunch together at least once during the weekend.

Since this is one of my favorite recipes to eat when my mom and I prepare the menu, I wanted to share it with all of you!

You can leave out the bananas, but I find that it makes classic bread pudding a little different and sweeter.

RECIPE:

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 2 cups french bread, brioche, or challah (sliced into cubes)

  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk

  • 1 1/2 cup whole milk

  • 2 bananas, mashed

  • 3 eggs

STEPS:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F, and grease a bread pan or pie dish with butter. Add the bread to your dish as the base.

  2. In a small bowl, mix together the condensed milk, whole milk, bananas, and egg together. Pour over the bread.

  3. Bake for 30 minutes and serve!

Enjoy!
