This red pepper pasta sauce has come onto my dinner rotation. I am so excited whenever I have the ingredients to make this dish because it is just that good!
Anyone who knows me knows that I love red peppers in any dish. Whether it be pizza, pasta, or just red pepper by itself.
One aspect that I love about this recipe is how easy it is to be able to make your very own sauce. It takes less than 10 minutes!!!
Not only can it come together in a flash, it can also be used as a base for so many different kinds of food—not just pasta.
RECIPE:
INGREDIENTS:
Pasta, cooked according to the direction
2 red peppers, diced
2 cloves of garlic, peeled and chopped
Salt, red pepper, and black pepper (to taste)
½ cup milk
STEPS:
In a pan over medium heat, sauté the garlic and red peppers with the olive oil for 4 minutes. During this time, add your seasonings: salt, red pepper, and black pepper.
Then, in a blender, mix the red pepper mixture with the milk until smooth.
Pour the sauce back into the pan and over high heat, cook for another 2 minutes until thickened.
Mix the sauce into your cooked pasta.
Enjoy!
